On the wonderful coast between Cagliari and Villasimius, at 25km from Cagliari airport, the locality is famous for its typical tourist port.
Leaving Cagliari and going to Villasimius, after Capo Sant’Elia, the road goes on to Marina di Capitana which belongs to Quartu Sant’Elia. We are in the big gulf of Cagliari.
The little port of Marina di Capitana is protected by two wharves, one bigger with a L form, the other one more little, right and on the coast, standing on the opposite part.
The internal pan has small quays and is divided in two wide harbours, one near from the port's mouth and composed by two loading docks for the big boats, but the other one, more internal is limited by a balloon anchor and fitted out with three other loading docks for the small crafts.
The access to the port is continuous and two regular, red and green luminous signals notify it. In the port area there are water, light, phones, toilets, showers, cranes, mechanical and electrical assistance and a toboggan for the boats and a parking. There’s a petrolpump on the dock.
On the Porticciolo’s left there’s S’Arrizzolu Saliu beach, which takes its name from the river, with big rocks polished by the sea. The beach arrives to Is Mortorius littoral.
